- Cruciate rupture/injuries (conservative management or post-surgery)

- Neurological conditions e.g. Fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE), intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)
- Fractures
- Soft tissue injuries
- Injuries resulting from traumas
Which treatments will my animal receive?
Our physiotherapist will perform a physical exam and read your pet's clinical history in order to best assess them. A tailored treatment plan will then be created and may include any of the following:

- Soft tissue massage; including indirect myofascial release.
- Passive and active stretches
- Strengthening and proprioception exercises
- Class 3B LASER therapy
- Pulsed-electro Magnetic Field Therapy (Pulse Mag)
- Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES)
- Heat therapy and cold therapy

Will my insurance company cover physiotherapy treatment?
NAVP members are approved by insurance companies and many insurance companies cover physiotherapy as a complementary treatment. It is advised that you check your policy prior to starting treatment.
